We wanted to take a moment to wish you a very merry Christmas this year, and to let you know we appreciate you. Between last minute shopping for your loved ones and putting on the last ribbons and bows, you decided to visit us and give us your time, and time is a beautiful gift.
In fact, time is a gift that everyone seems to not have enough of. With each generation, we have the expectation that we can do more faster, expecting that faster technology and services can help us slow down a little, maybe to enjoy more time with our loved ones or take a little extra time for ourselves. Yet, the opposite appears to happen more often than not. And so, we wait for Christmas, the time we set aside each year to share joy with our friends and family. And with the wait comes hope, and that is the spirit of Christmas.
Let us remember the hope of the Isaiah the prophet that was fulfilled on that first Christmas day.
For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the greatness of his government and peace
there will be no end.
He will reign on David’s throne
and over his kingdom,
establishing and upholding it
with justice and righteousness
from that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty
will accomplish this.
Whatever it is that you are waiting for, may your hope be fulfilled this Christmas!
